Rainbow block
It seems the only thing I've been sewing lately are blocks for the quilting bee I'm a part of. Not that I mind. I really enjoy the challenge with each new block. It's fun to discover fabric combination that I would not normal use. This block was for Sarah. She's making a quilt for her brother's wedding present and her color theme is "rainbow." Now that's definitely not a color scheme I usually work with. She wanted something Denyse Schmidt inspired, something log cabinish. This obviously isn't a log cabin, but I instantly wanted to do this. Hopefully she likes it!

How could she not like it? It is very pretty. Is the white used in all the blocks?
Sooo cute!!! I love this block!
I love this. It is great!
She'd be nuts to not love it! By the way, your Pieced Together block from me is going into the mail first thing tomorrow. Right now I am having issues with my iPhoto program, so if it gets to you before I'm able to upload a photo to the Flickr group, if you would take a pic of it for me and post it, I would be forever grateful. My MacBook is going to the "doctor" tomorrow, so hopefully my picture issues will be fixed soon...:)
It's very lovely. I've recnetly finished a baby quilt in white and brights like that. The colours really stand out. Awesome.
What a great looking block! I know she will love it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Lovely! Love the color combination!
I love all bright fabrics set against a white background - hence this is fabulous!
I love this and I am going to have to make something like this myself. IT really pops out and I like that it is so different.
Oh, it's so pretty!
LOVE! It's really awesome, Katie.
See....she really love it, like everybody else. Awesome block!
That looks great! I am planning on making a quilt like that in blues and greens... I hope it comes out as nice as your block!
