Baby Kimono PJs

My sister gifted me a copy of Amy Butler's newest book, Little Stitches for Little Ones for Christmas. Sadly, most of the projects are for babies, and well, at almost 3, Isaiah is hardly a baby anymore. I don't really know anyone with babies either. Then I remember that a blog friend is due to have a baby boy soon, and that coincidentally, I've owed her something in the mail for a few months now. Shame on me.

This little kimono pj set was too cute not to make and I'm hoping that it makes up for the fact that I'm very late for sending her something. The top is made with Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossom line and trimmed with some brown linen. The pants are made with the same linen, which I absolutely love. I think this style is very similar to the Oliver + S pattern, which I have, and I just might have to make a pair for Isaiah. It's so stinkin' cute!

Do you have a pattern in big girl sizes - I could do with some new pj's myself!

(It IS so stinkin' cute!)

Cute! I also got this book as a gift for Christmas - and currently have no babies to sew for. But I know it will be handy in the future!

So cute... I wish I still have a baby boy :)
btw, I'd just knew that you're also katiejeanbag on flickr. Thanks for your helping in giving me the link how to sew curvy lines, really it's very helpful!!

So very cute! Love the fabric combo. Yes, I almost bought the book for myself, but then saw that my youngest is too old for the patterns :(. So, I bought the book for my sister...no babies yet there! :)

Too cute! I wanted that book as well, but my daughter is 15 months, too old as well! She needs to come out with a "Bigger Stitches for Bigger Ones!"

So cute Katie! I almost bought that book to make some things for Noah. However, my sewing machine was taken away from me so I'd have no way to make it and thus couldn't justify the purchase. Your PJ set is super adorable though and Isaiah definitely needs some.

Katie! So cute! I gave this book to a mommy friend of mine and have been waiting to see beautiful projects spring forth, but this is the first kimono I think I've seen. Great job!
