Today is a big day! John is receiving his bone marrow transplant. We are very excited for this moment, even though there will still be a lot of waiting to see what happens. I am hopeful and am so grateful for all the prayers and support we have been receiving. We have such amazing families and friends who have helped beyond ways that I could have even asked for. And then there are you guys. People who I don't even know in "real life" that have sent cards, little gifts, special projects, thoughts and prayers. You are really wonderful and I just can't thank you enough. When I started blogging I never thought that I'd become part of such a supportive community. It's really, really special.

love this pattern.
ReplyDeletemy thoughts are with you guys!
We're sending wishes of health and happiness your way.
ReplyDeleteLove the mittens!
I've been keeping you guys in my thoughts lately. Best of luck to John today.
ReplyDeleteI'll see if I can get Felix to draw him some pictures. They always make me happy!
And now I will go add another project to my Ravelry queue. Because I need something else to do.
ReplyDeleteBut I love fingerless glove patterns so much and this one has the added benefit of a finger COVER, which is nice in the winter months.
These would be the perfect dog walking gloves! Ok, here I go...
Love, love, love those mittens! I wish I could knit well enough to make some! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope that everything goes well for him. I will be keeping your family in my thoughts & prayers!
Hope all goes well,
ReplyDeleteFran
praying for you guys. hope everything goes smoothly and your christmas is more than merry.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers were with John yesterday that all went well and that the new marrow will start doing it's job quickly.
ReplyDeleteLove your mittens. That is such a great idea. I have way too many projects that still need to be finished. Guess I work better under stress.
Praying for your family.
We are praying for you all. I just read John's update and am glad to hear the transplant was uneventful.
ReplyDeleteI love your mittens. I may just tackle some myself. I too have gifts to make. How many more days do we have?
Check out this link. I made my family these last year. They are fast and fun to mix left over yarn. They were well received and I think my sisters actually wore them! They made us all think of my late aunt as she gave us a similar slipper when we were younger.
Oops! I think I forgot the link.
