In the kitchen.
In the sewing room.
In the bedroom.
You know it's bad when your 2 year old says "It's like a mountain." At least the bed is made, although you'd never know ;) Hopefully I'll play catch up this weekend and maybe fit time to finish my quilt up for the Doll Quilt Swap.
Don't worry. It looks very, very familiar to me.
ReplyDeleteI have a big plans to flatten out mountains around our house this weekend too, but I have a lot projects (not just sewing) due next week.
Maybe we will need to stay in this mountainous region for a little longer.
love the quilt!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry about the mountains, you've got a lot on your plate.
ReplyDeleteThat quilt looks great!
Those piles look familiar...I wonder why? Oh yeah! That is right! Because I have some just like them at home! Our sock basket exploded earlier this week (a.k.a I couldn't find my favorite pair of socks) so there's that pile - and more. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting this! It makes me feel so much more normal!
ReplyDeletethat little quilt is too cute!!
ReplyDeleteMy house looks like that a lot too! I love that little quilt.
ReplyDeleteSomehow things always wait for us, don't they? Love the little quilt.
ReplyDeletelooks just like my place too, just add cat hair and it IS my place! LOL (cept the toddler, I am way past toddlers)
ReplyDeleteYou know what? no one ever died wishing they had done the dishes! LOL thats my theory and I am stickin' to it!
Lissa
hmmm. looks familiar. maybe this weekend i can tackle dishes. love this little quilt...great curves and texture!
ReplyDeleteare you sure he wasn't speaking of the 'mountain' in the quilt? love the tree. must show when done. everything else looks lived in. sometimes it's not easy to hide :)
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you didn't take those pictures at my house?
ReplyDeleteThat looks suspiciously like my house ... Minus the groovy doll quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have a few piles like that in my house, especially in the basement :)
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt! I need to try making a mini quilt sometime... I am inspired.
Hi Kate,
ReplyDeleteHope everything is good with you and your family!
i just found your blog and it reminded me of your crafting. I love most of your work and since i try to send X-maspresents to the Dodges every year, I was wondering whether you had gift vouchers so Carol can choose what she wants and it only has to be shipped within the US. Is that possible? Do you also have manlike-things, except for the heads?
I would love to hear from you soon!
lots of love,
margo
(from belgium)
Oh, I can so relate! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny! Kids see things so different than we do sometimes! My kids have been making "tents" with blankets and every toy in the house piled up.
ReplyDeletea creative mess is better than tidy idleness
ReplyDeleteMy house is just as bad. Plus we don't make our beds. They get messy when we get back into them so its a waste.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt. I like how one side of the tree is bigger and rounder giving the illusion that it is a windy day and the tree is blowing in the wind. Nice job!
