IKEA and Giveaway #6

After we hit the post office this morning, Isaiah and I headed up the road to IKEA. I cannot tell you how great it is to have one so close. I love all their cute, affordable items. For weeks I've been searching for boxes to mail the little house ornaments in. I seriously underestimated how difficult it would be to find such a thing. I've checked so many stores out, it's starting to become exhausting. I thought maybe IKEA would have something, since they always have some interesting things. Imagine my surprise when I found out that all the IKEA holiday items were 75% off. Yippie! I did find some cute boxes, but now I'm thinking that they're going to be too big. Anyway, I picked up a bunch of things and probably could have gotten a lot more had I not had a restless child with me. I bought everything in this picture, plus two rolls of wrapping paper (.25 each!), 3 more sets of the boxes, and two hand puppets for less than $20. Unbelievable!

Today's giveaway will be these three items. A set of white ornaments, felt ornaments (which have a black& white gingham on the back), and some very cute gift tags.

Yesterday's winner is:

Felicia please e-mail me your address to katiebhandbags@gmail.com

And did you see? My holiday meme is on the Sew, Mama, Sew blog today. How cool!

Oh how I wish I had an Ikea close by. One of these days I am going to plan a road trip. I love your little houses, and it sure can be frustrating finding good packaging. I hope the little boxes work out for you!

you are so lucky to have an ikea nearby! Sadly, I have never even been to one. Looks like you found some adorable things!

I love IKEA. Ours is about 30 minutes away- too far! But I still hop over there once in awhile!

Well, if I don't win this contest I may have to drive an hour away, get lost, finally find Ikea without really knowing how I got there, then buy some after Christmas sale ornaments!

Jeff and I have been saying for weeks that we need to make the drive to Baltimore to check out Ikea. I think you just tipped the hat!

Oh, I have to enter! I want to do my tree next year in a red/white European theme with lots of red toadstools and pretty ornaments like these. I still can't believe we don't have an IKEA in a city as big as Denver--the nearest one is in Salt Lake! We're going there this weekend but if it's all 75% off now, it will be gone by then, I'm afraid! This may be my only chance to snag some of those goodies! :)

I have never been to IKEA. None in St. Louis. We are not a small town. We have ALL other popular stores, and when I read all of the wonderful finds people get from there I admit it...I get curious! Love the red and white ornaments...so pretty!!!

I wish I had an IKEA close. I have never been to one. They seem so cool. I have planned 3 trips to ikea (2-3hrs away) either the car has not worked, a snow day, or my son had an intestinal thing. One of these days I am not going to tell anyone and just GO!

What beautiful ornaments. We've just had an IKEA open close to us and I can't wait to check it out in the new year.

I totally understand your Ikea obsession, ours opened up last year (about 15 minutes away!), and I have to limit how often I go or else risk the poor house! I was so tempted by the Christmas stuff when I was there last, and now that it's super on sale I might just have to go back again!

I'm so jealous! We used to live within walking distance of an ikea when we lived in holland. I miss it!

That is some good stuff from Ikea. I've been wanting to get there. It will probably have to wait until the first of the year now.

I love IKEA! Our nearest one is 45 minutes away and requires a special trip since it's really not near anything else worthwhile.
